SEND & Alternative Provision Tutors - Wokingham Area
Not every young person responds to mainstream education.
Some need calm support, consistency, and someone who can genuinely help them reconnect with learning and rebuild confidence.
Quantum Scholars are looking to engage compassionate and resilient individuals to provide 1:1 SEND tuition and mentoring support to pupils across Wokingham and surrounding areas.
The young people you will support may present with SEND, SEMH, autism, behavioural needs, trauma, anxiety, medical needs, or school avoidance, with many currently accessing EOTAS or alternative provision support.

Teachers or teaching assistants
Behaviour mentors or youth workers
SEND support or pastoral staff
Ex-PRU or alternative provision workers
Sports coaches or psychology graduates
Individuals with personal SEND experienceThe most important quality is the ability to build positive relationships with young people who need support.
The Role
Deliver 1:1 support and tuition to primary and secondary-aged pupils
Support students both academically and emotionally
Sessions may take place in homes, schools, community settings, or online
Flexible assignments available across Wokingham and surrounding areasThere is immediate and ongoing demand for tutors, with regular referrals available throughout the academic year.
Requirements
Experience supporting children or young people
Calm, patient and adaptable approach
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Ability to travel locally within Wokingham⚠️ You must have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.
