Salary: £13,000 - 127,500 per year Requirements: Proven experience working in a software testing role Strong understanding of the software development and test lifecycle Experience testing within Agile and Waterfall environments ISTQB / ISEB Foundation certification (or equivalent experience) Experience using ALM tools such as Azure DevOps or Micro Focus ALM Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and effective prioritisation Confident communicator, able to work collaboratively with delivery and business teams A proactive, team-first approach with pride in delivering quality outcomes Responsibilities: Planning and delivering testing activities across Agile, Waterfall and hybrid deliveries to ensure systems meet quality standards and business outcomes Analysing requirements, designs and user stories to create risk-based test approaches and identify quality risks early Designing, maintaining and executing test assets including test cases, exploratory testing and test data Executing functional, system, integration and exploratory testing and providing clear quality feedback Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure business readiness before release Managing defects through their lifecycle, ensuring clear prioritisation, traceability and reporting Working closely with delivery teams, business stakeholders and third-party partners to promote shared ownership of quality Contributing to continuous improvement of test processes, tooling, automation and AI-assisted testing approaches Supporting new, seconded or consultant test team members where required Technologies: AI Azure DevOps Hardware ISTQB Support Cloud More: At Howdens Joinery, we are the UKs number one trade kitchen supplier, providing thousands of products across kitchens, joinery and hardware.
