Looking to make an impact in structural engineering? SYSTRA is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our team at our offices in Birmingham, York, Leeds, or Manchester. With recent international project acquisitions, this is your opportunity to be part of a growing, innovative team within SYSTRA’s Buildings Division. Our projects span the Transport and Energy sectors, including passenger stations, rail depots, and energy-from-waste facilities, making structural engineering a key component of our multidisciplinary transport design consultancy. **Main Responsibilities**
- Serve as Structural Engineer on various engineering, transportation, and infrastructure projects.
- Work within budgets, schedules, and quality standards as part of a small project team.
- Prepare outline and detailed designs for multidisciplinary or single discipline projects.
- Follow and verify procedures throughout project delivery.
- Collaborate with other disciplines and third-party engineers to develop integrated designs.
- Report project progress to senior engineers and project management.
- Ensure safety procedures are applied throughout the design lifecycle.
- Contribute to company-wide goals and continuous improvement.
- Pursue ongoing professional development with SYSTRA's support.
- Perform other duties as required.
**Candidate Profile/Skills**
- Strong knowledge and experience in structural design and related disciplines.
- Degree in a relevant field.
- Familiarity with construction principles and standards.
- Ideally working towards professional registration.
- Experience as a design engineer with responsibility for project deliverables.
- Ability to produce quality outputs aligned with standards.
- Understanding of commercial and contractual aspects related to budgets and timelines.
- Proficient in relevant analysis software.
