Pay and Hours
Our Tesco colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 an hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores inside the M25. For hours worked between midnight and 6am you will receive an additional night premium of £2.35 per hour. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It is our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you would like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.
The availability windows show the periods of time in the week we would like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you will have 3 weeks' notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility; if the times you are available to work match closely but not exactly to the times we are advertising, we would still love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
* Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride; delivering natural service.
* Being knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
* Working across service, picking and replenishment areas as required.
* Applying training to work safely, effectively, and to serve customers brilliantly.
* Making decisions that are right for customers and delivering store routines that meet customer needs.
* Participating in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and how your role contributes to service, sales, waste reduction and profit.
* Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in good condition.
* Adhering to Tesco values and policies and contributing to an inclusive environment.
* Occasionally required to accept deliveries into the store.
