Why This Role is Ideal for an Aspiring Anti-Human Trafficking Officer

Many of these students require structured environments, safeguarding measures, and targeted interventions—skills essential to anti-human trafficking and protection roles.
By working in this setting, you will develop safeguarding expertise, identifying risks, reporting concerns, and implementing protection strategies; gain experience with trauma-informed practices, supporting young people who have experienced adversity; work alongside professionals including social workers, therapists, and safeguarding leads; learn behaviour management techniques essential for supporting vulnerable individuals in high-risk situations; and understand the impact of neglect and exploitation, gaining valuable insights into coercion, control, and vulnerability.
What Does an Anti-Human Trafficking Officer Do?
Anti-Human Trafficking Officers work in law enforcement, NGOs, and government agencies to identify, protect, and support victims of human trafficking. They investigate cases, provide victim support, collaborate with law enforcement, and raise awareness of exploitation risks. This role demands strong communication, safeguarding knowledge, and an understanding of psychological trauma—all of which are developed through this LSA position.
Who We Are Looking For
Graduates in Criminology, Psychology, Law, International Relations, or related fields; individuals passionate about human rights, social justice, and safeguarding vulnerable individuals; those with an understanding of trauma, exploitation, and behavioural challenges; strong communicators who can build trust and provide emotional support; and applicants committed to at least one academic year to ensure stability and consistency for pupils.
Why This Experience is Valuable for Your Future Career
