Background
The Birmingham Law School Environmental Law team is delighted to offer a PGT or PGR law student an exciting opportunity to contribute to a digital education project. It is looking to recruit one student to support the LM Environmental, Energy Law module team in incorporating digital tools into teaching materials.
Role Summary
This project involves the use of digital tools such as Thinglink, Vevox, Feedback Fruits and Padlet to support and enhance teaching and learning. The post holder will review the LM Environmental, Energy Law module to identify opportunities for using digital tools within the module, design the digital teaching resource, and embed same into teaching materials/ module CANVAS page. The post holder will also be responsible for finding and embedding appropriate and recent copyright-free images and videos for all topics covered in the module.
Main duties
* Review the LM Environmental, Energy Law module to identify opportunities for embedding digital tools into teaching materials.
* Compile research findings into structured recommendations for module design.
* Create and embed digital teaching resources in teaching materials.
* Assist in developing teaching materials and seminar discussions based on research findings.
* Design appropriate images and/or interactive videos on topics covered in the module.
* Find and embed relevant, appropriate and recent copyright-free images and videos.
Person Specification
* Excellent understanding of the use of digital tools in education.
* Experience of creating polls and other collaborative platforms.
* Experience of designing images and creating interactive videos.
* Ability to analyse information and communicate effectively
* Ability to access and organise resources successfully
* Attention to detail
* Strong legal research and analytical skills.
* Specialism in Environmental Law and/or Energy Law (master’s level/PhD) is desirable.
