Pewsey Vale School is looking for a motivated and organised Admin Assistant to join our school Business team. Supporting the administrative, financial and organisational processes within the school, you will work as part of a team and be adaptable and flexible in your outlook, with excellent IT skills and a keen eye for attention to detail.
Employment Details
* Contract type: Permanent
* Hours: Part time, 18 hours per week (typically 4 days per week; alternative 3 days per week may be considered, including teacher training days).
* Closing date: 31/05/2026
Responsibilities
* Support administrative, financial and organisational processes for the school business team.
* Maintain accurate records and manage administrative tasks.
* Use IT systems including Microsoft Office, Outlook and Word.
* Collaborate with pupils, staff, parents and external agencies.
Qualifications
* Experience of administration, ideally in a secondary school setting but not essential.
* Good working knowledge of ICT systems (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word).
* Minimum standard GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (Grade C) in English and Maths.
* Self‑motivated, consistent, able to maintain confidentiality.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Superb attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to handle new challenging situations and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Strong team player with initiative.
* Positive and flexible attitude.
