Technical Delivery Manager
Location: Angel Court, London
Work Arrangement: Hybrid working options – 1 to 2 days per week in the office
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours/week)
Salary & Benefits: Up to £70,500 per annum + fantastic benefits including bonus

We are seeking a Technical Delivery Manager/Product Manager for our Risk, Clinical, and Governance domain. This role supports the Senior Technical Delivery Manager by taking ownership of the technical run and change activities for our application products and services, in close collaboration with stakeholders.
How You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen
* Provide technical leadership and oversight of the delivery and support of applications and services, aligning with strategy and roadmap.
* Ensure products are developed and prioritized according to Bupa’s Technology Strategic Framework, fostering continuous improvement, optimization, and innovation.
* Accountable for all aspects of run and change for a portfolio of technology products/services, adopting DevSecOps practices to ensure resilient, secure, and aligned services.
* Maintain accountability for information security and data protection throughout the product lifecycle, in accordance with policies and standards.
* Ensure product resilience at all lifecycle stages, overseeing third-party contributions as appropriate.
* Contribute to the functional data model and ensure its evolution aligns with broader data strategies.
* Implement a robust data integration strategy in line with enterprise architecture standards.
* Drive collaboration within multi-disciplinary product teams, acting as Scrum Master when needed.
* Lead delivery activities from inception to maintenance, promoting agility, automation, and continuous improvement.
* Provide technical leadership to platform teams, with possible line management responsibilities.
* Manage asset lifecycle, promote cloud adoption, and ensure components are current and evergreen.
* Coordinate cross-functional dependencies, employing flow techniques to enhance delivery speed and agility.
* Ensure compliance with risk appetite standards regarding information security, operational resilience, and project change management.
* Handle internal and external audits for applications.
* Manage products and services against KPIs, KRIs, and strategic plans.
* Oversee technology suppliers, optimizing performance and managing decommissioning.
* Manage vendor relationships, understanding roadmaps, and leveraging software solutions effectively.
* Evaluate and influence procurement of new software solutions benefiting Bupa.
What You’ll Bring
* Extensive experience as a senior technology professional delivering complex products.
* Proven ability to manage change and run activities for technology products, including planning, backlog management, security, and governance.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical details for diverse stakeholders.
* Experience with IT Service Owner responsibilities, including contract management and application governance.
* Experience transforming teams from waterfall to agile methodologies and leading cross-functional teams.
* Comfort with making technical decisions aligned with policies and standards.
* Innovative mindset with a user-centric, design thinking approach.
* Strong influencing skills without relying on organizational hierarchy.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
