JOB GOAL: The Summer Learning Program aims to provide students with opportunities for deeper learning, focusing on content mastery and skill development. Teachers will create individualized learning plans based on data, emphasizing content learning, self-efficacy, and key competencies. The goal is for students to apply knowledge meaningfully and engage in relevant work. Teachers will employ high-leverage practices to support deeper learning.
Qualifications
* Massachusetts Licensure
* Bachelor's Degree or higher
* Knowledge of second language acquisition or SEI Endorsement
* Effective communication skills with teachers, students, parents, and administrators
* Experience teaching students with diverse abilities and needs
* Commitment to attendance for each program day
* Other acceptable qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Superintendent
Responsibilities
* Parent communication and outreach
* Track student work and provide progress reports and final grades
* Manage scheduling and coordinate with counselors and the program coordinator
* Focus on skills remediation through data-supported content work for credit recovery
* Review mid-summer reports with students and caregivers
* Perform additional duties as required
Duration: July 28 - August 14, 2025
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM, plus one planning day. Total of 13 days.
Salary: $45/hour, total maximum of $2,925 for 13 days.
