Job Description: Quantity Surveyor
We have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join Jeff Way Electrical, a company with a strong reputation in the Social Housing, Planned Works, Maintenance, Electrical Testing and Repairs, and Renovations sectors. We collaborate with local authorities, housing associations, and commercial properties across Wales, delivering high-quality, compliant, and efficient services.
Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspects of our social housing contracts throughout Wales. The successful candidate will maximize profit, ensure accurate financial controls, and contribute to our overall project success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maximize profit margins and ensure full contractual entitlement is claimed on each project.
* Implement and monitor controls across all commercial aspects of our contracts.
* Process subcontractor payments and manage direct employees pricing.
* Submit payment applications and invoices in a timely manner.
* Agree on subcontract packages, ensuring competitive pricing and effective procurement.
* Collaborate with the commercial team to maintain a positive cash flow across projects.
* Produce performance reports on KPIs for each contract to support informed decision-making.
Position Details:
* Job Type: Permanent
* Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm)
* Salary Package: £40,000–£50,000, depending on experience
* Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays

Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Proven experience in a construction or social housing environment.
* Relevant experience in Quantity Surveying or similar roles.
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
* Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial processes.
* Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with teams and clients.
* Proficient in IT, with experience in relevant software applications.
