Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Finchley - September 2026 Start - Full-Time

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Finchley seeking a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term basis. Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant - Role Overview
As a Maths Graduate TA, you will play a key role in supporting students across KS3 and KS4, helping to raise attainment and confidence in mathematics. Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting students in Maths lessons on a 1:1 and small group basis
* Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
* Breaking down complex mathematical concepts into clear, engaging explanations
* Delivering targeted interventions for students who need additional support
* Stretching and challenging high-achieving students
* Supporting with lesson preparation and resource creation
* Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
* Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
Requirements
* A degree in Mathematics or a related subject (Essential)
* A strong desire to pursue a career in teaching
* Excellent subject knowledge and confidence in Maths
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A proactive, enthusiastic, and resilient approach
* Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
