Straight-Line Group are currently hiring Yard Assistant to support the smooth running our valued client based near Droitwich, Worcestershire. The client is a busy well-established groundworks contractor. The successful candidate must have previous experience in a similar role and have experience with all forms of construction machinery and tools. Due to the nature of the business the candidate must have a dynamic approach to problem solving and be able to think on their feet. Within this role the candidate will be working closely with our Plant and Yard manager and our HGV driver. The main responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive and the candidate will be expected to grow and adapt with in their role depending on the needs of the business. General Duties * Loading and unloading vehicles with materials, stock, tools and plant equipment in a safe manner. * Keeping the yard tidy, organised and safe. Ensuring materials are stored properly. * Performing routine maintenance, cleaning the yard and equipment ensuring all equipment is in good working order. * Monitor and maintaining stock levels * General property repairs * Driving – materials and equipment to our various sites around the country when required.
