Job Title: Pathfinder Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA)
Position available: 1 full‑time position (37.5 hours) based across the Black Country
Salary: £25,282.44 – £28,861.62 (dependent upon qualifications and experience)
Closing date: 24 June 2026
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as main point of contact and support for victim/survivors and their children in the Family Court process.
* Ensure clients are well‑informed and prepared for proceedings and are supported throughout.
* Provide detailed reports to the court, ensuring the impact of domestic abuse on the family and children is comprehensively understood.
* Act as subject‑matter experts on domestic abuse for the Court, offering advice and training to court officers and staff.
* Work with clients from Sandwell, Walsall and Dudley whose cases are heard in Wolverhampton or Telford Family Court.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Empathy, compassion and excellent interpersonal skills.
* Strong interpersonal / caseload management skills.
* Confidence working with partner agencies and advocating for clients.
* Occupational requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010: Post holder must be female.
* Right to work in the UK.
