We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed person to join the Revenues and Benefits team here at Torridge District Council as an Administration Officer. This role will provide clerical support and assistance to the Revenues and Benefits Team. Undertaking Council Tax discount and exemption reviews, by letter or telephone, monitoring responses and informing the Revenues Team of any amendments. The successful candidate will set up new properties on the Council Tax system. This position will play a key role in the timely and accurate administration and billing of Council Tax.
We pride ourselves on the excellent delivery of our service, therefore it is essential for the successful applicant to have experience of working with the general public and working in an office environment. Up to date working knowledge of Council Tax and Business Rates administration and best practice would be beneficial to the successful candidate in this role however this is not essential and training will be provided.
This role will require a DBS check.
