Hydrasun is seeking a skilled Hose Assembly & Test Technician to join our Aberdeen-based team.
This hands-on role is central to the safe manufacture and pressure testing of our fluid transfer products, ensuring every assembly meets Hydrasun’s high standards for quality, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
* Manufacture hose assemblies in line with detailed specifications and procedures.
* Conduct pressure testing safely and accurately, adhering to company protocols.
* Identify and report faults during assembly or testing, contributing to continuous improvement.
* Prepare and assemble hoses for industrial, offshore, hydraulic, and pneumatic applications.
* Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely submission.
* Support other areas of the business when required.
* Promote a safety-first culture and uphold HSEQ standards at all times.
Essential Competencies & Experience
* Standard Grades (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and a Technical subject.
* Proven experience in a workshop environment, ideally involving pressure testing.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Numeracy, computer literacy, and a practical approach to problem-solving.
* Awareness of safety and environmental standards.
* Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
* BFPA Level 2 or equivalent.
* OPITO Hose Assembly or Pressure Testing certification.
* Experience with hose inspection and hydraulic, mechanical, or pneumatic systems.
* Familiarity with Hydrasun products and pressure testing equipment.
* Ability to maintain tools and equipment to a high standard.
