Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Logistics Assistant/Executive (Freight Forwarding) to manage customer inventories, coordinate metal shipments, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities
* Manage customer inventories and coordinate timely shipment and transportation of metals to meet operational requirements
* Develop strong customer relationships by delivering responsive and clear communication
* Compile accurate stock and inventory reports with meticulous attention to detail
* Address and resolve customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly
* Prepare shipping documentation including invoices, customs permits, and billing statements
* Communicate shipment status effectively with local and overseas agents, carriers, and customers
* Verify shipping documents to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
* Collaborate with the warehouse department to fulfill specific customer requirements
* Consolidate London Metal Exchange (LME) and customs details for all import and export jobs
Required competencies and certifications
* Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
* Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in air or sea freight operations
Preferred competencies and qualifications
* Strong multitasking abilities demonstrated by managing multiple logistics tasks simultaneously
* Proactive mindset and positive attitude to anticipate and address operational challenges
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation and reporting
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
