Primary Teacher (Behaviour Specialist)
Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Salary: M1 – M6 (dependent on experience)

The Role
This is a dynamic and rewarding teaching role within a lively, fast-paced school environment. Classrooms are energetic and engaging, and your ability to provide structure, consistency, and calm leadership will be essential.
You will play a key role in supporting pupils to manage behaviour positively, recognising that behaviour is a form of communication and responding with understanding, not confrontation.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead both large and small classes with confidence and clarity
* Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that capture attention
* Apply effective behaviour management strategies, including de-escalation and restorative approaches
* Respond to challenging situations, including emotional or physical meltdowns, with professionalism and composure
* Work collaboratively with support staff to ensure consistency across the school
* Support pupils with strong personalities through firm guidance and reassurance
* Celebrate progress, recognising and valuing small but meaningful achievements

You will bring:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* An enhanced Child-Only DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Experience in busy or behaviour-focused school settings
* Confidence managing challenging behaviour and larger groups
* A calm, approachable, and resilient personality with a sense of humour
* The ability to remain composed and reset quickly after challenging situations
* A genuine belief that every child deserves patience, consistency, and support

What You’ll Receive
* Weekly PAYE pay (no umbrella fees)
* Competitive daily rate: £165 – £265
* Ongoing support from experienced consultants who understand the demands of behaviour-focused roles

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
