Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Consultant to join our team at the Remediation Centre of Excellence. This 12‑month secondment offers flexible working and 28 – 35 hours per week.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant in Remediations, you will provide strategic leadership and direction for a team of Lead Business Intelligence Specialists. You will ensure that insight, customer population outputs, and data processes consistently meet agreed service levels and align with wider organisational objectives. A key part of the role is setting clear standards and governance for data production, data quality, and analytical methods, alongside ownership of the data dictionary, reporting practices, and continuous improvement across the insight function.
You will act as a senior business partner, translating organisational priorities into effective data and insight solutions that support senior decision‑making. This includes providing leadership oversight of analytical delivery, ensuring high‑quality, timely insight is available to inform strategic and operational decisions. You will also drive automation and simplification across reporting and data processes to improve efficiency, resilience, and overall data quality.
Building strong cross‑community relationships and fostering a high‑performing, collaborative team culture will be central to your success. Throughout all activity, you will champion a customer‑centric approach, ensuring that insight and data‑driven decisions protect and, where possible, improve the customer experience while supporting the organisation’s remediation objectives.
Qualifications
The minimum requirements for the role are:
* Significant experienceleading a data team coding in SASand SQL
* The ability to manage the D&I demand process, including internal and external team coordination.
* The ability to identify and navigate potential challenges, ensuring they are reported and resolved safely and efficiently
* Extensive experience in understanding business needs or regulatory requirements and delivering workable, efficient reporting and analysis solutions
* A background in advising, challenging, and coaching business stakeholders in how to drive value from data, increasing understanding and use of data
* The ability to provide highly‑effective subject matter expertise to both internal and external stakeholders, translating complex data findings to easily consumable stories that drive action
* Extensive practitioner experience within data and analytics environments
* Experience in leading simplification and automation of regular data processes
* Proven ability to build and maintain relationships across multiple teams and senior stakeholders
