As a Compliance Senior Manager within the wider Risk and Compliance Function at Santander Asset Management (SAMUK), you will be responsible for providing Regulatory Advice and leading the identification and implementation oversight of evolving regulatory obligations and industry standards which impact the company and the services and products we offer, including manufacturer and distribution related activities. You will also play a vital role in being responsible for SAMUK's policy standards considering SAMUK's strategy, change programme and oversight of its strategic growth initiatives. As well as being dedicated to delivering Regulatory and Conduct advisory work and building supportive and collaborative relationships. This is a fantastic opportunity for a subject matter expert to lead Compliance Advice during a time of strategic company and product growth and development, whilst being supported by a company and culture on the journey together. The difference you'll make: Advising the business in line with legal or regulatory requirements and industry standards across our product, service, and company obligations Drive good customer outcomes and effective and sustainable business decisions through review and challenge at governance forum. Creating and maintaining the regulatory rule inventory which apply to SAMUK Overseeing all Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Depositary applications relating to changes Collaboratively working with wider UK Santander group on product governance risk oversight Managing the Regulatory Change Process, via identification of trigger events and ongoing oversight through change lifecycles What you'll bring: Extensive experience operating in a regulatory environment either as a regulator or consultant with a strong understanding of the asset management industry Deep understanding of the UK regulatory framework including conduct risk, product governance and fund approval processes It would also be nice for you to have: Experience in both Traditional and Alternative Asset Management would be highly beneficial Senior stakeholder management skills with good written and verbal communication Commercial awareness with the understanding of the organisation's business model and the impact to consumers A good judgement and decision-making skills, with the ability to think, assess and validate risk and reach robust judgements What else you need to know: We are a global Asset Manager with extensive local knowledge in Europe and Latin America, working as a single firm in 10 major markets and with more than 50 years of experience.
