The Role As the Finance Officer, you will manage day-to-day financial transactions and provide essential support to the School Business Manager. This role requires high levels of accuracy, a methodical approach to bookkeeping, and the ability to maintain clear communication with staff and external suppliers. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage supplier payments, and oversee the collection of school fees or trip payments. Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of school accounts and petty cash, ensuring all records are up to date and accurate. Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation of monthly payroll data, including managing overtime claims and pension contributions. Budget Monitoring: Support department heads in tracking their spending against set budgets and providing monthly expenditure reports. Audit Preparation: Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and provide documentation for internal and external financial audits. A relevant finance qualification (AAT Level 3 or higher is preferred). High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality.
