Adferiad Recovery delivers a flexible and coordinated response to the exceptional circumstances faced by people with co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions and related issues. Vulnerable people facing complex life challenges need consistent and seamless support to ensure they remain engaged with vital health and wellbeing services – and to prevent them becoming disenfranchised and isolated.
Adferiad Recovery harnesses the talents and experience of long-established and leading Welsh charities CAIS, Hafal and WCADA. Our combined expertise in the fields of substance use, mental health, housing, criminal justice, and employment support enables Adferiad Recovery to meet the needs of our most vulnerable with a single, unified, and comprehensive approach.
Hours: 30 per week (temporary 29/9/25 - 13/7/26)
Salary: £25,809.30 per annum pro rata
Based at: Llansamlet, Swansea
Role Purpose: This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new service providing practical and therapeutic support to children and young people, across Neath Port Talbot and Swansea, experiencing episodes of mental distress in a non-clinical setting. The team will provide advice, guidance and early interventions that aim to keep children and young people accessing the service safe and help to improve their mental wellbeing.
The Support Worker plays a pivotal role in providing a safe and supportive environment for children and young people in need. Reporting to the Senior Support Worker, this position is responsible for delivering high-quality support, and contributing to the overall success of the service.
