Role Purpose
This senior leadership role sets the strategic direction for Capital, Warehousing & Logistics Procurement across Premier Foods. You will play a pivotal part in enabling the delivery of our expanding capital investment programme, and in building resilient, costeffective, scalablelogisticsand warehousing solutions across the UKandinternationally.
As a key member of the Procurement Leadership Team and wider Supply Chain leadership community, you will shapelong-terminfrastructure,capabilityand performance during an exciting period of change and investment across our supply chain.
What you’ll be doing
Defining and leading the end-to-end procurement strategy for Capital, Warehousing and Logistics aligned to Group strategy and growth ambitions.
Providing leadership to Capital & Logistics procurement teams, developing capability, engagement and future talent.
Leading procurement activity for major capital programmes including engineering lines, equipment, construction/civils, automation and specialist services.
Owning procurement strategy for UK and international warehousing, transport, freight and distribution networks.
Developing and challenging commercial models, including TCO, indexation and performance-based mechanisms.
Partnering with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance and Project teams to align on plans and delivery.
Leading high value, high risk negotiations with strategic suppliers and logisticspartners.
Ensuring strong governance, compliance, contracting discipline and risk management across portfolios.
What we need from you
Senior procurement experience in complex supply chain related categories.
Strong track record delivering multiyear, complex programmes.
Knowledge of Capital, Logistics or Warehousing (desirable, not essential).
Deep commercial capability, including total cost and should cost modelling.
Experience leading strategic supplier relationships and high performing teams.
Excellent stakeholder management and senior level influencing.
A continuous improvement mindset and collaborative leadership style.
