Job Title: Project Engineer – Hybrid

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join an industry-leading automotive team working on innovative engineering programmes. This role will be pivotal in designing, communicating, and delivering operational plans for complex engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare designs, project controls, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, and manage production, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, or equipment.
* Monitor project progress and performance against agreed plans; take proactive measures to resolve operational challenges and minimise delays.
* Identify, develop, and manage resources required to complete the project successfully.
* Develop engineering standards, detailed work specifications, project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
* Select and manage materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors as needed.
* Manage projects and processes independently with minimal supervision.
* Provide guidance and coaching to junior team members, reviewing their work to maintain high standards.
* Solve complex, challenging engineering problems with innovative solutions.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Strong background in project engineering within an automotive or advanced manufacturing environment.
* Proven ability to deliver projects from planning through to commissioning.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong problem-solving capabilities with a proactive mindset.
* Ability to work independently and guide junior engineers.
