We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic,reliable, highly motivated individual with experience in Primary Care to the role of Nurse Associate.The NurseAssociate works within their scope of practice in accordance with the Nursingand Midwifery Council (NMC) Code.
Main duties of the job
The Nurse Associate will:
Undertake and record clinical observations including bloodpressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation, height, weight, BMI andurinalysis.
Perform venepuncture, capillary blood sampling and otherdiagnostic procedures.
Carry out ECGs.
Deliver wound care including dressings, suture removal and basicwound assessment.
Administer injections as delegated and within scope of practice.
Support patient chronic disease reviews and monitoring (e.g.asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension) under supervision.
Support patients with long-term conditions, including those withcomplex needs such as dementia and mental health conditions.
Undertake NHS Health Checks.
Carry out cervical cytology (if trained and competent).Administer vaccinations and immunisations under Patient GroupDirections (PGDs) or Patient Specific Directions (PSDs), including childhoodimmunisations (if appropriately trained and assessed as competent).
Undertake home visits for housebound patients for annual reviews,vaccinations and monitoring as delegated.
Recognise and respond appropriately to deteriorating patients orsafeguarding concerns.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered nursing associate and on the NMC register.
* Meets the specific qualification and training requirements as specified in the Nursing Midwifery Standards of proficiency by having undertaken and completed the two-year Foundation Degree delivered by a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) approved provider.
* Experience of working in a primary care environment.
