A day in the life of…
As our Hotel Reservations & Sales Manager, you'll be the face of our hotel to potential clients. You'll use your excellent communication and negotiation skills to generate revenue by selling our services and ensuring customer satisfaction. You'll be responsible for identifying potential clients, negotiating contracts, and creating sales strategies in collaboration with our marketing and operations teams. It's important that you maintain positive relationships with existing clients, track industry trends, and provide regular reports to senior management. You will also be responsible for managing the hotel's Reservations Team ensuring group and transient reservations are efficiently managed. We're looking for someone who is approachable, friendly, and passionate about hospitality. What do we need from you?
* Sales Experience: For this role, it's essential that you have prior sales experience, preferably in the hospitality industry. You should be familiar with the sales process, including identifying leads, creating proposals, and closing deals. ideally, you should also be comfortable with producing group proposals, negotiating contracts and able to explain complex concepts in a simple and persuasive manner.
* A desire to drive revenue by effectively managing all aspects of Sales & Marketing for the Hotel within the local, national and international marketplace. This will include management of company social media pages and marketing campaigns.
* To identify and proactively solicit new business, manage key accounts and agents to increase revenue and share, in line with the hotels’ sales and revenue management strategies.
* To formulate and implement Reservations Management strategies for accommodation in order to maximise Reservations potential and increase competitive share by managing and processing individual and group room bookings efficiently. Past experience in Reservations management is preferred, but full training will be provided.
* Assist the Revenue Manager for producing a financial forecast on a weekly basis for accommodation.
* Utilise statistical data to set future pricing & selling strategies for group and transient accommodation for the duration of the hotels booking window, including Manage inventory strategies for systems.
* Communication Skills: As the face of our hotel you should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and able to articulate the hotel's value proposition clearly and confidently to potential clients. we're looking for someone who can build rapport with clients and develop positive relationships with them.
* Teamwork: As a key member of our hotel, you should be able to work collaboratively with other teams, including marketing, operations, and finance. They should be able to share information and work towards common goals to ensure the hotel's success.
* Organisation and Attention to Detail: It goes without saying, but in such a fast paced role, you'll need to be organised and detail-oriented. You should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.
