Job Title : Systems Co-ordinator Furniture & Floorcoverings Location: Kettering Salary: £25000 Shifts : Monday to Friday dayshift (37.5) We have a vacancy for a Systems Co-ordinator based in the Furniture and Floorcoverings business areas. The Furniture & Floorcoverings department is an international centre of excellence for testing, training, consultancy, and innovation. The team works closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and retailers of furniture, flooring, and their components, helping them ensure their products are fit for purpose and safe to use. We are currently seeking a Systems Co-ordinator to support the maintenance and development of the QMS and health and safety systems within the department. Key Responsibilities Following appropriate training, the successful candidate will be responsible for: Maintaining and improving record-keeping of quality-related documentation (e.g. calibration certificates, equipment maintenance records, certificates of conformity, gap analysis, software validations) Performing calibrations, drift analysis, risk assessments, witnessed assessments, and uncertainty of measurement budgets to agreed deadlines Managing check testing and participation in inter-laboratory trials Supporting the Business Area Managers with the annual UKAS audit, including auditor coordination and organising improvement action evidence Co-ordinating ISO 17025 accreditation schedule extensions to scope where applicable Assisting in the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures Collaborating with the Health, Safety & Environmental Manager and other senior staff to ensure H&S compliance Maintaining personal training and competency records Purchasing and verifying standard materials Completing COSHH records where applicable About You - Essential Laboratory experience, or A-levels (or equivalent) in a science-based subject or Mathematics High accuracy and excellent attention to detail Highly motivated, reliable, and flexible in approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities Able to follow instructions and procedures accurately Capable of working independently in an organised and structured manner Strong verbal and written communication skills Good time management skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Good teamworking and interpersonal skills Understanding of working within a quality system Strong problem-solving skills Desirable Experience in implementing and maintaining quality control/management systems such as ISO 17025 or ISO 9001 Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures Quick to learn new skills Customer-focused approach Experience in problem-solving in a technical environment Benefits 2530 days annual leave (dependent on service) Life assurance Group personal pension plan Income protection Free on-site parking Interested?
