KOOSA Kids are now recruiting for After School Club Childcare Assistants at our club at Knaphill Lower School in Woking, Surrey (GU21).
This role is a part time, term time only role, working Monday to Thursday from 2.50 - 6.00pm.
The role
As an After School Club Childcare Playwork Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the After School Club Manager alongside other After School Club Childcare Assistants in the safe and organised running of the club whilst actively and enthusiastically supporting and engaging children aged 4-11.
You will assist in delivering a range of playwork activities such as Arts & Crafts, Sports, Team Games, and other activities. Playwork involves removing barriers to play, enriching the play environment, and providing a safe and secure setting for children to explore, grow, and have FUN!
Responsibilities
* Assist actively and enthusiastically in the safe and organised running of the After School Club at Knaphill Lower School in Woking, Surrey (GU21).
* Help set up, organise, and deliver daily activities and encourage children to participate.
* Assist in preparing, serving, and tidying up after snack time.
* Be aware of and sensitive to children with additional needs (Physical, Behavioural, Dietary).
* Develop strong relationships with children to ensure they have as much FUN as possible.
* Understand relevant Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids policies, including safeguarding.
* Ensure activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day.
Skills & Experience
* Passion or interest in working within a childcare, early years, or playwork setting.
* Fun, energetic, reliable, and effective communicator with colleagues and children.
* Ability to relate to and engage children aged 4-11 years.

* Full training and induction will be provided.
This role is suitable for individuals with experience working in a Primary School, Pre-School, or Nursery, such as a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator, or Nursery Assistant, or those looking to enter the childcare industry.
Hours
Monday - Thursday, 2.50pm to 6.00pm, term-time only.
