We are excited to advertise a new Clinical Specialist post within the Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale Early Intervention in Psychosis Team.
The team works with those aged 14 to 65 experiencing a first episode of psychosis and their families.
This post will support our Community EIP Team in Scarborough and surrounding areas: the post holder will have a special interest in the delivery of EIP pathways and linking individuals with their local communities in achieving recovery.
The post covers a large geographical area - the post holder would need to be able to travel across the Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale and surrounding areas.
This clinician will work closely alongside the Team Manager to collectively lead and develop the current clinical pathways and psycho-social intervention work of our Multi disciplinary team whilst developing a broader range of interventions that would ensure the service can be fully inclusive particularly of those with additional sensory / neuro-diverse needs.
The post holder will work alongside the Team Manager and Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement new and innovative ways of delivering evidence based treatments to individuals and families.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a candidate who will:
* Be passionate about improving the delivery of evidence based treatments in psychosis for young people/adults and their families (age range 14-65).
* Be a driven, enthusiastic and forward thinking leader.
* Have a clear interest in the development of the clinical skills of the staff of our EIP service with a particular focus on ensuring services are accessible to all.
* Have skills using interventions such as CBT, DBT, Family therapy or other governed therapies.
* Have extensive experience working in EIP services or have transferable skills.
* Have understanding and experience of working with those with neuro-diverse conditions or sensory needs
* Have significant experience of working with clinicians to achieve service improvement.
* Have a range of experience of leading projects or other clinically based initiatives which will have made a contribution to delivering innovative and high quality services.
* Hold a relevant Professional Registration (RMN, SW, OT ) and be registered with a governing body.

Qualifications/Experience
Essential
* Registration with relevant professional body. (e.g. NMC, GMC, HCPC, Social Work-England)
* For nursing professions - Recognised Practice Supervisor and /or Practice Assessor, clinical educator or equivalent and
* Trained in providing clinical supervision
* For other professions - evidence of training in clinical supervision of other staff and able to demonstrate competence in this area of practice in clinical supervision of other staff and/or students/ trainees.
* All professions - Postgraduate diploma (or above) in a subject relevant to the area of practice.
* Or in the absence of postgraduate qualification o Willingness to work towards a postgraduate diploma within 2 years and
* A recognised advanced clinical qualification or Masters level credits e.g., Intermediate Systemic Family Therapy/Post Grad diploma in CBT/British Isles Dialectical Behaviour Therapy /NMP e.g. dysphagia, posture, autism assessment, rebound, social prescribing, sensory processing, Approved Mental Health Professional, Practice Educator (level 3 Independent Prescriber) * Note any other advanced qualification/masters credits not listed here as an example, must be clearly evidenced and listed as advanced qualification or masters credits - within the individuals application form
* Substantial clinical experience of working in relevant specialist area in collaboration with service users, families and relevant others or transferable experience of similar settings and willing to gain knowledge within first 12 months.
* Experience of assessing and managing risk (harm to self, others and safeguarding)
* Substantial experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
* Involvement in quality improvement activities
