ELIGIBILITY
These placements are designed for students to gain a ‘year in industry’ as required within their degree course.
Students must have completed two years of their degree course.
This placement is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check (with Children’s Barred List).
HOURS
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Providing accurate GPS reports of team and individual analysis on a daily, weekly basis.
* Ensuring the Football Intelligence Platform (FIP) is consistently and regularly updated in relation to all Sport Science, S & C, and data requirements.
* Assisting with daily workflow to set up training and gym sessions.
* Ensuring individualised, developmental programmes for youth team players to support their development.
* Working alongside the pitch session with Sports Science staff and coaches to improve session quality.
* Contributing to player rehab and performance programmes.
* Assisting in nutrition and hydration preparation for the team and individuals.
* Working matchdays and assisting the Youth Team as directed by Sports Science department.
* Performing any further duties as required by the Academy Sport Science Lead within a multidisciplinary approach.
About The Candidate
* Studying towards a degree in Sports Science (or equivalent qualification) with a placement year.
* Experience of working with athletes, from novice and amateur to professional levels.
* Experience in completing physical exercise and strenuous activities.
* A current FA/FAW Safeguarding Children Workshop Certificate (or willingness to complete within 1 month of appointment).
* Ability to meet the travel needs of the post, including travel across the UK and occasionally overseas.
