Golf Club Office Administrator
Location: Tregongeeves Lane, St Austell
Reports to: Golf Club Manager
Hours: 16 hours per week (over 2–3 days)
Pay: £13.50 per hour
Role Overview
St Austell Golf Club is seeking a professional and organised Office Administrator to support the smooth day-to-day running of the Club.
This varied role covers administration, member services, bookings, financial processing, and event support. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient operations and delivering excellent service to members and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Administration
* Manage day-to-day office administration.
* Respond to telephone, email and in-person enquiries professionally and efficiently.
* Maintain accurate filing systems and club records.
* Maintain health & safety documentation, staff records, contracts, holiday logs and payroll hours.
Member Services
* Support membership applications and renewals using the Intelligent Golf (IG) system.
* Maintain accurate member records including CDH numbers, contact details, category transfers and B Shares.
* Administer locker allocations.
* Maintain the competitions diary and communicate relevant information to members.
* Deliver high standards of customer service to members and visitors.
Bookings & Scheduling
* Assist in coordinating Seniors and Ladies matches.
* Manage tee-time bookings for societies and reciprocal golf.
* Support the scheduling and administration of competitions and club events.
Financial Administration
* Administer competition income and maintain accurate financial records.
* Prepare monthly journals for competitions, buggies, green fees and reciprocal income in line with club procedures.
Event & Operational Support
* Assist in organising open competitions, charity events and social functions.
* Liaise with the bar manager, chef and external suppliers to support successful event delivery.
Skills & Experience
* Strong administrative and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
* High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Intelligent Golf preferred.
* Previous office experience desirable.
* Knowledge of golf or golf club operations advantageous.
