Job Description
A well-established UK law firm with a strong mid-market presence is seeking to recruit two Corporate & Commercial Solicitors to join its growing Southampton office. The firm advises a broad client base across the UK and internationally, combining high quality technical work with a collegiate and commercially minded culture.
The Team:
The Corporate & Commercial team advises across all sectors on both transactional and non-transactional corporate matters. Clients range from fast growth startups and scaleups through to SMEs, institutionally backed businesses, international organisations and listed companies. The quality of work is comparable to that of large City firms, while the working environment is notably collaborative and supportive.
The structure of the team offers genuine scope for rapid progression, making this role particularly attractive to ambitious Lawyers who are technically strong and keen to take ownership of matters as they develop.
The Role:
The successful candidates will work on a wide range of corporate matters, including:
* Private company mergers and acquisitions
* Private equity transactions
* MBOs and MBIs
* Joint ventures
* Shareholders' and investment agreements
* Articles of association and other constitutional documents
* Demergers, reconstructions and reorganisations
Requirements:
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (or due to qualify)
* NQ to 8 years' PQE considered
* At least one seat in Corporate & Commercial or equivalent post-qualification experience
* Strong grounding in core corporate processes
* Confident, commercially aware and technically capable
* 2:1 degree or above preferred.
