The Event Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of events and experiences across the Outernet district. This role manages the event lifecycle from initial planning and logistics through on-site execution and post-event wrap-up. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and thrives in a fast-paced, partner-focused environment. You’ll ensure each event reflects the high standards of the Outernet brand while delivering smooth and efficient operations. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills: Event Management & Delivery Plan and execute a range of internal and partner events, ensuring smooth delivery from start to finish Coordinate logistics including production schedules, staffing, equipment setup, and on-site operations Work closely with teams across Commercial, Scheduling, Studio, Production, and Broadcast Operations to align event delivery Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination Support the Sales team by helping define event requirements and aligning operational expectations Liaise with external suppliers and service providers, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met Maintain strong working relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and delivery Participate in post-event reviews to support continuous improvement Health & Safety & Risk Management Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to ensure compliance with all safety protocols and risk procedures Review relevant documentation such as floor plans and risk assessments, escalating any concerns as needed Reporting Provide regular updates and reporting to senior stakeholders on event performance, operational needs, and team development Stay informed on emerging event trends, technologies, and tools, bringing innovation to event delivery and team processes Team & Culture Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture by supporting colleagues and sharing best practices Embody Outernet’s values and maintain a professional, solutions-oriented approach to challenges Other Responsibilities The job holder may be required to undertake additional responsibilities aligned with their skills and the evolving needs of the business Essential Experience 3 years of Event Management & Operations Comfortable with IT tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Understanding of health & safety standards, including risk assessment processes Desirable Health & Safety Qualification (such as IOSH) Experience in Event Site Management First Aid Certificate Personal Attributes Flexible and adaptable Calm under pressure Highly Organised and detail focused Solutions Oriented The above is not an exhaustive list, and the job holder will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by their changing role.
