This role offers the opportunity to lead the successful delivery of a portfolio of technically complex and high-value development projects, ensuring alignment with customer expectations, internal standards, and business performance targets. The Senior Project Manager will be joining an established project delivery function and will play a key role in driving end-to-end project execution, team performance, and stakeholder satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of complex, multi-phase development projects across the full lifecycle from planning and design through to delivery and acceptance. Act as the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and engineering teams. Ensure delivery of projects to agreed cost, schedule, and quality metrics. Provide technical and commercial leadership across project teams, supporting engineering and operations functions to meet programme objectives. Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating where appropriate. Lead project planning efforts including resource allocation, milestone planning, and work breakdown structures. Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, and financial reports. Support continuous improvement and process enhancement initiatives within the project function. Promote a culture of open communication, accountability, and excellence across the team. Essential Skills & Experience: Proven track record of delivering Aerospace or Avionics engineering in a structured project environment. Strong leadership and communication skills and capable of leading cross-functional teams and engaging with senior stakeholders. Commercial awareness and understanding of project financials, budgeting, and reporting. Experience managing the full project lifecycle from bid through to completion. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities. Working knowledge of risk, change, and configuration management. Familiar with project management methodologies such as APM, PRINCE2, or PMI. Desirable: Background in aerospace, defence, avionics, or RF/communications systems. Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Project Management, etc.). Experience working in matrix organisations with integrated engineering teams.
