Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a warm welcome. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality. The Hotel Receptionist will manage reservations, check guests in and out, and assist with any inquiries to enhance the guest experience.

Duties

* Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanour.
* Manage the check-in and check-out process efficiently, ensuring all guest information is accurately recorded.
* Handle reservations via phone, email, and in-person inquiries, providing information on room availability and hotel services.
* Answer phone calls promptly with excellent phone etiquette, addressing guest queries or concerns effectively.
* Maintain an organised reception area, ensuring it is welcoming and tidy at all times.
* Assist guests with luggage when necessary and provide directions or recommendations for local attractions.
* Process payments and maintain accurate records of transactions.
* Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction throughout their stay.
* Handle any guest complaints or issues professionally, striving for resolution to ensure a positive experience.

Requirements

* Previous experience in hospitality or guest services is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette; multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* A friendly disposition with a genuine desire to help others; a passion for the hospitality industry is essential.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required by hotel operations.
* Proficiency in using computer systems for booking management; familiarity with hotel management software is a plus.
