We are seeking an Entry Level Environmental Scientist/Geologist who is familiar with environmental work and is motivated to grow. Experience with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and basic scientific field work practices is preferred but not required. Applicants must demonstrate a desire to develop a full understanding of the importance of scientific integrity and ethical business practices. This position is a full-time, hourly position and pay will be based on education and experience. Flexible work hours and commitment to client needs are vital. Familiarity with the following is preferred, but not required:
1. Air, soil, groundwater sampling, and other types of environmental work.
2. 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
Requirements
3. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Geology, Biology, or a related field
4. Valid driver’s license with ability to travel locally
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
6. Able to perform field work up to 90% of the time
7. Self-motivated with ability to work independently and adapt to changing tasks
8. Strong communication skills with staff, clients, and contractors
9. Commitment to maintaining safe work practices for self and others
10. Ability to accurately document information (written and electronic)
11. Physically able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs multiple times per day
