This position is part of the Distribution Centre Lead Management team that provides excellent service to our stores, ensuring great product availability and standards by leading a team of Managers and colleagues on a dedicated shift, focusing on doing what’s right for our customers and Tesco.
About the role
As a Warehouse Service Shift Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Analyzing trends in Big 6/KPIs, building and implementing warehouse improvement plans.
* Maximizing the My Performance process to enhance individual performance, productivity, and standards.
* Identifying opportunities to improve warehouse performance and supporting your team to deliver these improvements.
* Coordinating all warehouse plans, KPIs, and resources to ensure delivery and sustainable improvements, while achieving financial targets.
* Championing change, sharing ideas, and delivering results.
* Building the capability of Managers through operational and leadership training, coaching, and mentoring.
* Leading your team to deliver end-to-end distribution routines and standards.
* Planning for seasonal, trade, and promotional events to maximize sales and ensure timely stock dispatch and receipt.
* Collaborating with support office and store leads to ensure best-in-class operating procedures.
* Focusing on delivering accurate goods to stores to improve product availability and customer satisfaction.
* Ensuring safety, hygiene, cold chain, and food hygiene standards are maintained.
* Leading change programs like Direct to Depot to optimize product availability.
* Implementing shrink and security plans.
* Operating collaboratively across shifts to deliver the best store service.
* Acting as the accountable Duty Manager for your shift, making customer and colleague-focused decisions.
* Leading community initiatives and resource planning to ensure effective staffing.
* Supporting Managers to identify root causes of issues and develop sustainable solutions.
