Role Overview
We are looking for a confident Senior Oracle Developer to join a 40‑member team of senior developers. The role focuses on delivering new business requirements, resolving production issues and improving complex codebases while working closely with design, testing and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Acquire deep technical knowledge of ATCORE systems and adapt quickly to existing applications.
* Become a subject‑matter expert within the development organisation.
* Investigate and implement bug fixes in cooperation with development management and other internal teams.
* Collaborate with internal and sub‑contractor teams to ensure clear communication of technical issues.
* Participate in the software development lifecycle to deliver and validate new features and fixes on schedule.
* Leverage experience in travel systems to propose appropriate technical solutions.
* Proactively manage development risks and issues with management.
* Lead and mentor junior engineering staff.
Required Experience
* 10+ years of programming experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL in large‑scale information‑system environments.
* A Maths/Science degree or equivalent academic qualification/experience.
* High standard of programming in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL.
* Strong understanding of configuration management and issue‑tracking systems.
Nice to Have
* Fluency in HTML, JavaScript, Java, JSON and willingness to learn new languages and technologies.
* Experience within travel reservation & tour‑operating systems.
* Experience in software or systems testing.
