We are recruiting for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our IMPaCT service at our hospice in Liverpool.
Contract: Permanent Full‑Time
Salary: £38,682 – £46,580 per annum (pro rata), plus a whole range of Marie Curie employee benefits
Location: Liverpool Hospice
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) within the IMPaCT service plays a key role in delivering expert palliative and end‑of‑life care across Liverpool. Working as part of an integrated hub model, the CNS provides specialist assessment, symptom management, and emotional support to patients and their families, helping them navigate complex decisions and ensuring care is delivered in line with individual preferences.
Key Highlights
* Provide expert advice and support to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals, promoting seamless care coordination.
* Facilitate advance care planning and sensitive conversations about future care needs.
* Lead on education and mentorship for other professionals, sharing best practice in palliative care.
* Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and governance activities within the IMPaCT model.
* Collaborate with partner organisations to ensure timely access to care and avoid unnecessary hospital admissions.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse on NMC register (Adult)
* Relevant Nursing Degree
* Relevant post‑registration qualification (minimum Level 6)
* Experience working in Specialist Palliative Care
* Expert knowledge of complex symptom management
* Knowledge of best practice standards in end‑of‑life care and management of loss, grief, and bereavement
* Ability to influence multidisciplinary team decision‑making about complex palliative and end‑of‑life care matters
* Capability to work with patients, their family, and carers to gather feedback and make improvements to end‑of‑life experiences
