Salary/Benefits: Salary between £31,930 and £36,878 per annum (Pro-Rata) DOE and Qualifications; 45 days annual leave (Pro-Rata) plus Bank holidays; Teacher’s pension; Retail and Leisure Discounts; excellent professional and personal development opportunities.
Hours/Weeks: 22.2 hours per week – 0.6 FTE – 52 weeks per year

About The Role
We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join our Health, Social Care and Childcare department at The Bedford College Group.
* Teaching & Learning Delivery – Prepare, deliver, assess, and verify subject specialisms across Entry Level 3 to Level 5, ensuring high-quality and engaging learning experiences tailored to individual student needs.
* Curriculum & Quality Management – Contribute to curriculum development, implement quality assurance processes, prepare schemes of work, and maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
* Student Support & Development – Guide students to achieve their potential, monitor progress, manage behaviour in line with the Student Code of Conduct, and extend learning through vocational opportunities and employer links.
* Professional Engagement & Promotion – Participate in marketing activities, open days, interviews, and team meetings, while maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge through CPD and supporting the college’s reputation.
* Statutory & College Responsibilities – Uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity, health and safety standards, and proactively engage in training and development as required by college policies.
About You
* Qualifications & Industry Experience – Holds a degree in Health and Social Care, GCSEs in English and Maths, and recent professional experience in the sector; willing to work towards a Certificate in Education.
* Knowledge & Values Alignment – Demonstrates awareness of current developments in the field, promotes equality and diversity, and works in line with values such as inclusivity, excellence, and continuous improvement.
