As a Climate Transition Associate Director within our net zero team, you will play a pivotal role in driving our mission to address climate change challenges and guide our clients on their journey to net zero. You will support the growth of our net zero team and will make a significant contribution to Ricardo's portfolio of climate transition and net zero projects in the UK and worldwide. We'd love to hear from you if you have the following competencies and experience: Proven track record: Demonstrated success in managing and delivering climate transition projects, preferably within a consultancy role. Strategic insight: Strong strategic thinking to identify and develop growth opportunities and provide strategic direction. Client engagement: Ability to establish and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted adviser for climate transition and net zero initiatives. Mentorship and leadership: Exceptional leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a team of net zero experts. Business development: A proven ability to identify and secure new business opportunities through effective prospecting, pitching and client scoping. Industry knowledge: Previous experience in sectors such as automotive, chemicals, and manufacturing is beneficial. The Successful candidate will need have the following skills and behaviours: Climate transition and net zero expertise: Proven expertise in leading projects related to climate transition and net zero. Project management: Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and ensure appropriate resource allocation across multiple projects. Effective communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex sustainability information to clients. Collaboration: A collaborative mindset to work effectively with a diverse team of sustainability experts. Flexibility: A flexible approach, with the ability to support colleagues and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced operational environment. Your main responsibilities will be: Act as a primary client contact for climate transition projects, establishing and maintaining strong client relationships. Develop and execute comprehensive climate transition and net zero emissions strategies that provide actionable insights and recommendations for clients and are tailored to each client's unique needs. Stay up to date with evolving global sustainability and climate-related regulations, ensuring clients remain in compliance. Identify and develop growth opportunities and provide strategic direction for development of future climate transition and net zero services. Mentor and guide junior consultants, providing leadership and expertise in climate transition and net zero initiatives. Lead stakeholder engagement activities to gather insights and prioritise climate transition initiatives. Oversee the analysis of climate data to identify trends, risks and opportunities. Lead the development of client proposals covering climate transition and net zero, ensuring alignment with client needs and objectives.
