As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in the success of our kitchen operations. You will be responsible for supervising the kitchen staff, ensuring that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards. Your expertise in food safety, preparation techniques, and cooking methods will contribute to the overall quality of our menu offerings. Additionally, your leadership skills will be essential in training and mentoring our team members.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise and coordinate kitchen activities, ensuring efficient and high-quality food production

- Assist in the development and implementation of menus and recipes

- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet customer expectations

- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations

- Manage inventory and control food costs

- Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and support

- Collaborate with the executive chef to create innovative dishes and menu items

- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations

- Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

- Effective communication and leadership abilities

- Team management skills to coordinate kitchen staff effectively

- Creative problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise in the kitchen

- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality food presentation

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
