Are you looking to start your career in legal finance? We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Administrator to join our Finance Team in Central Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to develop their skills in a professional, supportive environment within a reputable UK law firm. In this role, you will support the Cashiering Team, tasked with assisting our Legal Cashiers; processing client and office account transactions, liaising with clients/fee earning departments and helping to ensure compliance with the Solicitor's Account Rules (SAR). You will work closely with legal cashiers within the team, gaining valuable experience in legal accounting.
The role
* Processing Invoices and Payments - Accurately record, process, and verify supplier invoices, and client payments, ensuring timely payments and correct coding.
* Assisting with Month-End and Year-End Processes - Support the finance team with closing accounts, preparing reports, and maintaining financial records for audits and compliance.
* Maintaining Financial Records - Ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded and documented, following company policies and regulatory guidelines.
* Monitoring and Sorting Emails - Managing the finance inbox, forwarding queries to the relevant team members, and responding to basic enquiries.
* Liaising with clients/fee earning departments - Communicating with solicitors, legal teams and clients to resolve financial queries, provide transaction updates, and ensure compliance with financial procedures.
* Data Entry - Accurately inputting financial data into accounting systems to support the finance team's daily operations.
