You’ll play a key role in shaping our new product offering, working closely with the Motor Underwriting team to ensure processes are efficient, effective, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
You’ll manage your workload with accuracy and attention to detail, making informed decisions on applications submitted online or through dealerships. Bringing a strong customer and business focus, you’ll contribute to a collaborative team culture, sharing knowledge and best practice.
As our product range grows, you’ll support underwriting across additional areas, always maintaining high standards and meeting SLAs to ensure a positive and seamless customer journey. Key Responsibilities
1. Checking applications meet criteria of requested product (dealer, digital and unsecured), assess ID&V tools, credit eligibility alongside affordability rationale.
2. Serve as a subject matter expert for the Underwriting team supporting optimisation of policies and process
3. Support achieving KPIs and SLA’s
4. As this role is based in a new and growing team, you will be responsible for ensuring that best practise and expertise are shared across the operational teams and business where appropriate.

Essential Requirements
5. Previous motor finance underwriting experience with a focus on positive customer outcomes
6. Strong analytical skills
7. Excellent attention to detail
8. Confident communicator across all levels of the business
9. Professional telephony skills with experience engaging customers and dealers
10. Strong literacy and numeracy
11. Collaborative team player who builds positive relationships and contributes to a supportive team culture

13. Motivated, resilient, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
14. Able to meet deadlines and achieve KPIs

Desirable Requirements
18. Knowledge of FCA regulations
19. Experience with: Open Banking, CIFAS, SIRA, LexisNexis
Working Hours
Your usual working hours for this role is hours per week and working patterns are designed around customer demand.
Business hours are between Monday to Friday, on Saturday and Sunday. Your specific shift pattern will be assigned by your line manager.
When you work a Saturday or Sunday you are entitled to a day off in lieu in the week and you will always be given reasonable notice for any shift change.
