Projects will range from £2.5M to over £20M and will be located across the North and East regions of Scotland.
This position is a key senior management role with accountability for the delivery of the projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, including interfacing with senior Client management.
In addition, the Operations Manager has the responsibility to manage, supervise, and develop a team of direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
* Be responsible for the leadership and management of the nominated sector Operations Department Team and its functions.
* Participate in the development of the Joint Venture and Operational strategies and advise on any impact to JV initiatives.
* Ensure all operations are carried out efficiently, safely, and economically, protecting the company's interests, ensuring client satisfaction, and fostering repeat business.
* Ensure projects are accurately reported regarding progress and cost.
* Chair monthly cost review meetings with Commercial Managers to verify project reports. Present results to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), including all relevant information about current status and expected outcomes.
* Review resource levels for current and proposed projects, ensuring adequacy to carry out operations.

* Manage and develop subordinates to achieve the targets of the joint venture.
* Review and manage the performance of subordinates reporting to the Operations Manager.
* Ensure compliance with ESD HS&S, Quality Assurance, BMS, and management procedures within your teams.
* Innovate by challenging and rethinking processes and systems to improve efficiency, and make recommendations to the SLT.
* Proactively solve problems, find solutions to obstacles for the benefit of the business, and share lessons learned and feedback with relevant SLT members.
* Attend senior management meetings relevant to the role and support other Operations Managers within the Joint Venture.
