You’ll be working with a well-established delivery organisation operating within the UK water sector, supporting long-term, regulated infrastructure programmes. The business is involved in major water and wastewater projects and offers a stable pipeline of work within a collaborativemercial and engineering environment.
Your new role
As an Estimator, you will support the delivery of water sector projects with a strong focus on MEICA works. You will be responsible for producing accurate and timely cost estimates across a range of projects, from early-stage development through to construction and delivery.
This is a contract role based in the Brighton area, offered on an inside IR35 basis, with the position being a long-term duration (9 months+).
Key duties will include:
1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for water and wastewater projects with a MEICA focus
2. Producing cost plans and option pricing to support early-stage decision-making
3. Reviewing drawings, specifications, and scope documentation
4. Building cost plans, risk allowances, and supporting tender submissions
5. Working closely withmercial, engineering, and delivery teams
6. Supporting pricing activities across framework-based work
What you'll need to succeed
7. Proven experience as an Estimator within the UK water sector
8. MEICA experience is essential (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control & automation)
9. Confidence in cost planning and options pricing
10. Experience working on regulated utility or framework projects
11. Strong understanding of estimating methodology, cost build-ups, andmercial risk
12. Ability to work on an inside IR35 contract
13. AMP framework experience
14. NEC contract knowledge
