Job Overview
We are looking for experienced, driven, enthusiastic security professionals with the desire to learn. This role would suit an applicant with a desire to progress in the evolving security industry by gaining exposure and experience across a variety of prestigious clients, including government contracts.
To protect our customer's property, people and assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes. Delivering results that meet and/or exceed the Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in contract retention. To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.
Main Duties
Operations
* To be aware of and ensure compliance with all policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK Law and guidance bodies.
* Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).
* Review published AI's for changes and suggest amendments to improve the level of service.
* Be compliant with Industry and Statutory Legislation (front-line licence in Security Guarding or Door Supervision, to be worn at all times; CCTV PSS SIA Licence; additional contractually required courses).
* Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
* Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
* Work in a systematic, methodical and orderly way.
Security and Health & Safety
o Look out for and immediately report any health & safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
o Stay alert to threats or changes within the work environment and take appropriate action to reduce disruption, loss or damage.
o Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations and with challenging customers.
o Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry after any incident for use in the Incident Report process.
o Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the client.
o Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated time slot; call emergency services and the Communications Centre to report all incidents.
What we are looking for
o Previous Security Experience
o SIA License
o Be able to work on own initiative
o Ability to go above and beyond to support the client
o Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
o Understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law and Police and Criminal Evidence Act

o Full Personal Protective Equipment and uniform provided
