Job Description
We are looking for a finance professional with strong technical accounting skills who enjoys being hands on with processes while also supporting analysis and reporting. The Senior Analyst will report to the Finance Manager responsible for the UK and Netherlands entities, with primary focus on the UK. This person will take ownership of key accounting and reporting processes, ensure accuracy of financial data, and provide reliable support for planning and analysis. The role includes close interaction with the Shared Service Center (SSC), auditors, and local teams, with a balance of execution and review responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
FP&A & Business Partnering
* Support the budgeting and forecasting process for UK entities, preparing reports and schedules as required by the Finance Manager.
* Prepare management reports and variance analyses to explain financial performance against budget and prior periods.
* Provide ad hoc analysis to support business decisions, including working capital and cost monitoring.
* Assist with corporate reporting submissions (HFM), ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Controlling & Compliance
* Execute month end close activities, including GL postings, reconciliations, accruals and adjustments in areas such as fixed assets, inventory, AR/AP, and payroll.
* Review and validate SSC outputs, escalating or correcting issues where needed.
* Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and track capital expenditures
* Perform reconciliations for key balance sheet and P&L accounts, ensuring compliance with IFRS/US GAAP and company policies.
* Support VAT compliance and statutory reporting requirements, liaising with external advisors where needed.
* Assist with internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation.
* Ensure strong internal controls are applied in all processes and suggest improvements where relevant.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
* 4–6 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or manufacturing/industrial environment
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and hands on experience with GL and reconciliations
* ERP experience required (MS Dynamics and Oracle preferred)
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reporting, modeling)
* Good analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
* Clear communication skills and ability to work with SSC and local teams effectively
* Some experience reviewing or coordinating the work of others is an advantage
