Corporate Accountant
Stonebridge Companies is a privately owned, innovative hotel development and hospitality management company. We manage a portfolio of 130+ hotels across the United States, and provide investor opportunities, hotel development services, hotel management services, and hospitality career opportunities to our partners and team members. The Corporate Accountant supports the Accounting Department as a key contributor in the Stonebridge Companies corporate office. As the accounting liaison, we would assume you are extremely detail-oriented, but we also expect you to excel at the following:
Essential Job Functions:
• Monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
• Prepare journal entries and post to general ledger
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Intercompany transactions and billing
• Bank reconciliations
• Balance sheet account reconciliations – Corporate AR
• Assist with financial audits, working closely with external auditors
• Other duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications:
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis
· Experience with Intercompany transactions and billing preferred
· Experience with QuickBooks preferred
· Experience with M3 preferred
• Strong understanding of general ledger accrual accounting and account reconciliations
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality
• Prior corporate accounting experience, preferably within multi entity hospitality environment, is desirable
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
