We're looking for a Team Leader to join our Transportation team based in Birmingham. In this role you will oversee the planning and coordination of work activities across both internal and external operations, ensuring a consistently high standard of service delivery.

Location : Thimble Mill Lane, Birmingham – site based 5 days per week
Hours : Permanent, Fulltime 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
Salary:
34,000 per year + benefits
What will you be responsible for?
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to corporate procedures, preparing accurate and relevant job packs, developing clear and effective work programmes, and maintaining all required records in an organised manner.
Your day to day will include:
Provide oversight and quality assurance for all handover documentation, ensuring it is complete, accurate and aligned with operational safety and efficiency requirements
Act as a key liaison between the highways planning team and operational delivery teams, ensuring all works are planned correctly first time, optimised for cost, efficiency, and service quality
Liaise with third parties, stakeholders, collaborative working in optimising network occupancy, ordering any special materials required
Support the Planning Manager by delivering timely, accurate and insightful reports and undertaking additional tasks as required
Manage performance, training, competency and development of highways planning team in accordance to business needs
What are we looking for?
This role of Team Leader is great if you have:
Significant working experience within the highways industry including knowledge of the Birmingham's Road network
The ability to lead, support and motivate a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with Confirm or similar asset management systems
