We’re looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our team in, Spalding, UK. The IT Support Engineer role is responsible for providing comprehensive technical assistance across a broad range of IT systems and services. This includes monitoring and resolving issues via the IT Helpdesk, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems, and maintaining user access to systems. The role also supports the ongoing maintenance and upgrades of key applications such as Prophet, ensures software compliance and up-to-date performance, and participates in IT projects to develop and recommend solutions. Additionally, the position involves staff training across all levels and assisting with hardware/software audits to ensure licensing compliance. Responsibilities include: Monitor and resolve technical issues via the IT Helpdesk, ensuring prompt and effective support Troubleshoot a wide range of hardware, software, and network problems across the organisation Manage user access, permissions, and support smooth operation of core systems and applications Assist with the maintenance and upgrades of our Prophet application Play a hands-on role in IT projects, contributing ideas and supporting the development of practical solutions Ensure all software is updated, fully functional, and maintained through regular housekeeping Deliver training and support to staff at all levels, promoting confidence in IT tools and systems Support hardware and software audits, helping ensure license compliance and accurate asset tracking Requirements Experience we look for: Essential Broad experience providing IT support to end users. Skilled in Microsoft Windows (Desktop & Server/Azure), Active Directory, TCP/IP networking, and relational databases. Experienced with desktop PCs, laptops, network equipment, printers, copiers, and handheld devices. Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and anticipate potential issues. Friendly, approachable, and an excellent communicator with a reliable, flexible attitude. Numerate, detail-oriented, and capable of logical problem-solving. Desirable Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Prophet. Any further IT qualifications would be beneficial.
